Business Development/Sales Manager

Connecticut Temperature Controls, LLC. has an immediate opening for an experienced individual to lead and manage our sales team.  CTC is a full service HVAC controls and building integration company that works with consulting engineering firms, mechanical contractors and building owners to provide them with the best possible solution for the project or building that they are responsible for.  We offer a wide range of services to help our customers in the best manner possible.

Job Description:

 To lead the growth of our business market share and profitability by building and maintaining new relationships with all types of customers/clients. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the functionality, features and capabilities of all CTC’s products and services. Lead, guide, educate and support all members of the Sales Team.

Principal Duties of this position are:

  • Create and develop new business opportunities
  • Create and coordinate marketing ideas and techniques to increase sales
  • Develop new customers to meet or exceed company sales goals
  • Design/deliver technical presentations to educate potential and current customers
  • Respond to RFP’s and prepare quotes for potential sales by negotiating pricing, project completion date and other conditions
  • Successfully close sales, by communicating with customers to ensure our products and/or services will satisfy their business needs
  • Actively present ‘after sales’ support services to current customers, such as preventative maintenance plan agreements
  • Compile and maintain a prioritized list of potential customers, by researching and implementing proven lead sources
  • Develop or improve company procedures and policies, in accordance with established legal and company practices
  • Responsible for creating and monitoring a budget, through forecasting and enforcing accountability to its application within your team
  • Completion of performance evaluations for all sales team members on a timely basis
  • Assist team members with setting personal goals and sharing company objectives
  • Participate and attend relevant trade shows, conferences and other events for networking opportunities
  • Propose new and/or locate and attend various training programs to attain relevant knowledge and skills for yourself and fellow team members

Successful Candidates will have:

Must have HVAC controls experience with a minimum of five years of field sales experience.  At least three years successfully selling HVAC or building automation systems. Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business. Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills.  Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels.

Sales/Engineer Position

Connecticut Temperature Controls, LLC. has an immediate opening for an experienced sales engineer. CTC is a full service HVAC controls and building integration company that works with consulting engineering firms, mechanical contractors and building owners to provide them with the best possible solution for the project or building for which they are responsible. We offer a wide range of services to help our customers in the best manner possible.

Principal Duties of this position are:

 To grow our business' market share and profitability by building and maintaining new relationships with design engineering firms.

  • Seek out, target and initiate contact with new prospective customers while maintaining the existing customer base.
  • Assist consulting engineers with the control strategies, sequences and knowledge to specify the best possible product for each application.
  • Help educate engineering firm’s key personnel of the rapidly changing technologies available.
  • Produce proposals to customers, mechanical contractors, and others to provide the best solution for their project that is within the budget guidelines provided.   
  • Bid on public and private plan and specification projects.
  • Achieving booking and gross margin goals.
  • Coordinate with project management and operations personnel on project turnover after sales completion.
  • Attend weekly sales/marketing meetings to coordinate sales/marketing strategies, update team on goals and active progression.
  • Attend and present at local trade shows.
  • Actively attend ASHRAE and other trade related societies monthly meetings.
  • Work with company management and operational staff to streamline company procedures and efficiency for improved company profitability. 
  • Ensuring thorough sales to engineering turnover and monitoring progress.

Automation Service Technician

Connecticut Temperature Controls, LLC., has an immediate opening for a motivated and experienced controls service technician. This position’s main responsibility is to service and maintain DDC and pneumatic control systems. Other duties will include setup, programming and configuration of DDC control systems as well as integration with competitors and equipment manufacturers systems. Experience with Tridium, Johnson, and/or other automated control systems is preferred.
